The Verisana Lyme Disease test is an easy-to-use at home test that measures your body's reactivity to borrelia bacteria via a simple sample that you take yourself from the fingertip. The antibodies take several weeks to build up in the bloodstream, so taking the test before 4-6 weeks have passed may result in a false negative result. Cross Reactivity: There is the potential for this test to produce a false positive result in people with Epstein-Barr virus or Toxoplasma. If you were previously diagnosed with Lyme disease, a positive Lyme test cannot distinguish between a current and a previous infection.
