The AUVON DS-W blood glucose monitor kit is a home blood sugar testing starter set. It includes the meter, 50 test strips, 50 30-gauge lancets and a lancing device, so you can start checking glucose right away.

The strips need no manual coding, and AUVON states results appear in about 6 seconds. The meter shows 7, 14 and 30 day averages, and a log book is included for writing readings down.

The kit also has a battery, a storage bag and user guides for the meter and test strips. The meter uses a CR2032 lithium battery. Follow the user guide, and talk with your doctor about how to use readings and what to do about them.
