Description
Beurer BM55 upper arm blood pressure monitor with resting indicator
The Beurer BM55 is a fully automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor that measures systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and pulse rate. Its patented resting indicator checks whether you were relaxed during the reading, and a color scale classifies each result.
It has a white illuminated XL display with touch-sensor buttons and two user memories of 60 readings each, with averages for all readings and for morning and evening. Arrhythmia detection warns of a possible heart rhythm disturbance. The cuff fits upper arms of 22 to 42 cm (8.7 to 16.5 inches).
It comes with four AAA batteries, a storage pouch and a USB cable for the free beurer HealthManager software on your computer. Arrhythmia detection is a warning only and not a diagnosis, so review your readings with your doctor. Place the cuff on the upper arm only, as the manufacturer directs.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What does the resting indicator do?
It checks whether you were relaxed enough when the measurement was taken. A symbol at the bottom of the display shows green when you were sufficiently at rest and red when not.
What arm size does the cuff fit?
Beurer lists the included cuff for upper arm circumferences of 22 to 42 cm (8.7 to 16.5 in). Some older Beurer material lists 22 to 36 cm, so measure your arm and check the size printed on your cuff.
How many readings can it store?
Two user memories with 60 readings each. It also shows the average of all stored readings and of the morning and evening readings from the last 7 days.
How do I get readings onto a computer?
Connect the included USB cable and use the free beurer HealthManager software, which you download from Beurer.
What powers it?
Four 1.5 V AAA batteries, which are included. A mains part is available separately from Beurer. Rechargeable batteries should not be used.
What does arrhythmia detection do?
It warns you of a possible heart rhythm disturbance during a measurement. Beurer says it is not a diagnosis, so discuss any warning with your doctor.
