The Braun Sensian 7 is a no-touch infrared forehead thermometer. Hold it about 2.5 cm from the forehead and the color-coded display shows a green, yellow or red result.

Age Precision lets you pick one of three age settings: 0 to 3 months, 3 to 36 months, or 36 months to adult. A food and liquid mode reads items such as bath water or formula, and a slide switch turns on quiet readings for sleeping children.

Batteries are included. Clean the thermometer by wiping it with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol and never immerse it in water. Read the instruction manual for positioning, battery size and how to select the age and food modes.
