Clearblue Early Detection pregnancy test, 3 count home pregnancy test
Clearblue Early Detection is a home urine pregnancy test that detects the hormone hCG. The box contains 3 single-use test sticks, so you can re-test if you test early.
Clearblue says it can be used 6 days before your missed period, and it lists a sensitivity of 10 mIU/mL. Hold the absorbent tip in your urine stream for 5 seconds, replace the cap and lay the stick flat.
Early testing works best with first urine of the day. Hormone levels can be very low early on, so a negative result can be wrong. If you tested before your period was due, test again, and see your doctor if you still think you may be pregnant.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
How early can I test?
Clearblue says this test can tell you 6 days sooner than your missed period (5 days before you expect your period). Hormone levels vary and early pregnancy can have very low levels, so you may be pregnant but still get a negative result.
When should I test for best results?
Use first urine of the day if testing early, since hormone is more concentrated. From the day you expect your period you can test at any time.
How do I use it?
Remove the cap, hold the absorbent tip pointing down in your urine stream for 5 seconds (or dip in a clean dry container for 20 seconds), replace the cap and lay the stick flat. Follow the insert for when to read it.
Does a faint line count?
Clearblue says a faint line still counts as a positive result.
What if I get a negative result but think I am pregnant?
Test again when your period is due. If you still think you might be pregnant, see your doctor.
Can it give a false positive?
Clearblue says a very small number of non-pregnant women, including some peri and postmenopausal women, may have low hCG levels in urine.
How many tests are in the box?
3 test sticks. The test is single-use and for in vitro diagnostic use only.
