Glucocard Expression blood glucose test strips, 50 count, for the Glucocard Expression meter

These are ARKRAY Glucocard Expression blood glucose test strips, a 50 count supply of single-use strips for checking glucose in fresh capillary whole blood. They are made for use with the Glucocard Expression meter, which reads from 20 to 600 mg/dL.

The meter codes itself when a strip is inserted, so there is no code chip to match. A test uses a 0.8 microliter blood sample and takes 6 seconds, and the system supports samples from the fingertip, forearm or palm.

Use each strip once and keep unused strips in the original bottle with the cap closed. ARKRAY says to discard the bottle 3 months after opening. These strips are not for diagnosing diabetes or for use on neonates. The meter and lancing device are sold separately.

How much blood and how long does a test take?

How long are strips good after opening the bottle?

ARKRAY says to write the date opened on the bottle label and discard the bottle and any remaining strips 3 months after opening. Never use strips past the expiration date printed on the bottle and package.

How should I store the strips?

Keep unused strips in the original bottle with the cap closed tightly right after removing a strip. Store at 41 to 86 F (5 to 30 C) in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight, heat and high humidity such as a bathroom or kitchen.

Can I reuse a strip?

No. Strips are single use only. Do not use wet or damaged strips.

Who should not use this system?

The system is for people with diabetes as an aid to monitoring, using fresh capillary whole blood. It is not for diagnosing or screening for diabetes and not for neonatal use. Hematocrit above 55% or below 30%, and severe dehydration, can cause inaccurate results. Talk to your healthcare professional about your readings.
