Metene TD-4116 blood glucose meter kit with 100 test strips and 100 lancets
The Metene TD-4116 is a no-coding blood glucose meter for checking blood sugar at home. This kit includes the meter, 100 test strips, 100 sterile lancets, a lancing device, control solution and a protective wallet, so you have the testing supplies together. It uses a large LCD display and a small 0.7 microliter blood sample.
The meter stores the 450 most recent results with date and time and shows 14, 21, 28, 60 and 90 day averages. Four reminder alarms can be set through the day. Results can be uploaded to a computer with Metene's Windows-based software, which is downloaded from the Metene website, using a USB cable.
Metene's manual allows testing from the fingertip, palm, forearm or upper arm, and advises the fingertip during or right after meals or exercise. The strips only work with the TD-4116 meter, and opened strips expire 6 months after first opening. A USB cable for computer upload is not included.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to code the meter?
No. The TD-4116 is a no-coding system, so there are no code chips or codes to enter.
What do I need to buy besides this kit?
The kit includes the meter, strips, lancets, lancing device and control solution. A USB cable is needed only if you want to upload results to a computer, and it is not included.
Can I use other brands of test strips?
No. Metene states its strips work only with the TD-4116 meter, and the TD-4116 meter is designed for Metene strips.
Where can I test?
The manual allows the fingertip and alternative sites (palm, forearm and upper arm). Metene advises using the fingertip during or right after meals, exercise or other events, because fingertip blood shows changes faster.
How many results does it store?
The meter stores the 450 most recent results with date and time, and can show day averages.
How long do opened strips last?
Metene states opened strips expire 6 months after first opening. Use a strip within 3 minutes of taking it out of the vial.
Can I set reminders?
Yes. The meter has four reminder alarms that can be set or turned off.
