Description
OneTouch Ultra 2 blood glucose meter with backlit display
The OneTouch Ultra 2 is a blood glucose meter for people with diabetes who test at home. It uses OneTouch Ultra test strips and a fresh capillary blood sample, and shows a result in 5 seconds. A backlight helps you read the screen in low light.
The meter stores up to 500 results and shows 7, 14 and 30 day averages. You can flag readings as before or after a meal to see separate averages. Two CR2032 lithium batteries are installed, and the meter turns off by itself after 2 minutes. A wired data port is used to transfer results to a computer.
Test strips and control solution are sold separately. The kit includes the meter, a lancing device, a sterile lancet and a carrying case. The meter is not for diagnosing diabetes or testing newborns, and a hematocrit above 55% or below 30% can cause false results.
