Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What arm size does this cuff fit?
The Size 10 Small Adult cuff is made for upper arm circumferences of 20 to 26 cm (7.9 to 10.2 in). Measure the bare upper arm midway between shoulder and elbow before choosing. If two sizes fit, the ProBP 2000 manual says to use the larger one.
Does it come with a tube or connector?
No. This is the cuff only (part REUSE-10). Tube sets are sold separately, and tubed versions of this cuff carry different part numbers.
Will it work with my monitor?
The FlexiPort fitting is designed for Welch Allyn devices such as the ProBP 2000, whose manual covers 15 to 55 cm arms using FlexiPort cuffs. For any other monitor, check that your device accepts FlexiPort cuffs or that you have a matching tube set, as the cuff alone will not connect.
Is it latex free?
Welch Allyn labels its FlexiPort cuffs as not made with natural rubber latex.
Who should use it?
Retailer and manufacturer listings describe FlexiPort cuffs for clinically trained users, and they are not intended for neonates. Always follow the directions of the monitor the cuff is used with.
How do I find the right fit?
Use the cuff's artery marker and range markers. When the cuff is wrapped, the index marker should fall inside the printed range. A cuff that is too small or too large can give inaccurate readings.
