Frequently asked questions

Is this a medical device?

No. Garmin's manual states the Venu X1 is not a medical device and is not intended for use in the diagnosis or monitoring of any medical condition. It also advises you to always consult your physician before you begin or modify any exercise program.

Does it have ECG?

No. The Venu X1 does not include an ECG feature.

How long does the battery last?

Garmin states up to 8 days in smartwatch mode. Reviewers report about 2 days with the always-on display on, and battery life drops with GPS, music, and other features.

Is it waterproof?

It has a 5 ATM rating, which Garmin's manual says means it withstands pressure equal to a depth of 50 m, so it is rated for swimming.

Can I make calls and use voice commands?

Yes, with a paired phone. The watch has a built-in speaker and microphone for calls and for your phone's voice assistant. Some voice commands, such as starting an activity or setting a timer, work without a phone connection.

Can I store music and pay with it?

You can download audio content from a supported third-party provider or your computer and listen through the watch speaker or Bluetooth headphones. Garmin Pay lets you pay at participating locations, and some financial institutions may restrict it.

What colours does it come in?

This listing offers Black with Slate titanium caseback, Moss with titanium caseback, and Soft Gold with French Gray band. Pick the finish in the variant selector.

Does the abnormal heart rate alert diagnose anything?

No. Garmin says the alert only tells you when your heart rate goes above or below a number you set after at least ten minutes of inactivity, and it is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition.
