Description
Garmin vivofit jr. 3 kids fitness tracker with 1 year battery
The Garmin vivofit jr. 3 is a kids fitness tracker that counts steps, tracks active minutes and monitors movement during sleep. It shows progress toward a 60 minute daily activity goal and runs on a user-replaceable CR2025 battery rated for up to 1 year.
Parents use the free Garmin Jr. app on an Android or Apple phone to follow activity and sleep, assign chores, award coins and set rewards. The adjustable silicone band is designed for children 4 and older, and the watch has a 5 ATM water rating for swimming.
Setup needs a parent or guardian with a Garmin Connect account, and the watch is paired through the Garmin Jr. app rather than the phone's Bluetooth settings. Garmin advises removing the watch if skin irritation occurs and rinsing it after chlorine or salt water.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What ages is it for?
Garmin states the adjustable band is designed to fit children 4 and older.
How do I set it up?
A parent or guardian needs a Garmin Connect account. Install the free Garmin Jr. app, log in, add each child, then hold the watch button until pairing mode appears and follow the app. Pair through the app, not the phone's Bluetooth settings.
Does it need charging?
No. It uses one user-replaceable CR2025 battery (3 V) with battery life of up to 1 year.
Can it be worn swimming?
Yes. It has a 5 ATM water rating (pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 m). Garmin advises avoiding pressing the buttons under water and rinsing with fresh water after chlorine, salt water or sunscreen exposure.
Which phones work?
Garmin states it is compatible with Android and Apple phones using Bluetooth technology. You can pair more than one phone or tablet, such as another parent's phone.
What does the parent app do?
The Garmin Jr. app shows daily steps, active minutes, timed activities and sleep, lets you create chores, award coins and set custom rewards, and shows adventure progress each day the child reaches the 60-minute goal.
Any skin care advice?
Some users may experience skin irritation after prolonged use, especially with sensitive skin or allergies. Garmin advises removing the watch if irritation occurs, keeping it clean and dry, and not overtightening it.
