Description
Description
CorDx TyFast 3-in-1 Flu A/B and COVID-19 at-home rapid antigen test
The CorDx TyFast is an at-home rapid test that detects influenza A, influenza B and COVID-19 antigens from one anterior nasal swab. It is a lateral flow cassette test, so you add sample solution and read the lines in the result window.
People aged 14 and older can collect their own swab, and an adult collects the swab for children aged 2 to 13. Wait 10 minutes and read the result before 30 minutes. A timer is needed and is not included.
The test is authorized for non-prescription home use under an Emergency Use Authorization for people with symptoms in the first 5 days. Negative results are presumptive and should be repeated after 48 hours. See a healthcare provider if symptoms continue or a result is positive.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What does it detect?
Influenza A, influenza B and SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) antigens from an anterior nasal swab. It is a lateral flow immunoassay for qualitative detection.
Who can use it?
People aged 14 and older can self-collect. For ages 2 to 13 an adult must collect the swab. It is not authorized for children under 2.
How soon after symptoms should I test?
It is authorized for people with symptoms of respiratory infection within the first 5 days of symptom onset, tested at least twice over 3 days with at least 48 hours between tests.
How long until I read the result?
Wait 10 minutes and read between 10 and 30 minutes. Results read before 10 or after 30 minutes can be false.
What does a negative result mean?
All negative results are presumptive. Antigen tests are more likely to miss infection than lab molecular tests. A COVID-19 negative should be repeated after 48 hours, and you should see a provider if symptoms continue.
What is the regulatory status?
The test is authorized for non-prescription home use under an Emergency Use Authorization. It is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
What do I need besides the kit?
A clock, timer or stopwatch. Use a flat surface and test at room temperature, 59 to 86 F.
