Description
Description
Contour Next blood glucose test strips, 70 count, with Second-Chance sampling
These are Ascensia Contour Next blood glucose test strips, a 70 count supply of single-use strips for checking blood glucose at home with a compatible meter. They are designed for use with any CONTOUR NEXT meter, and each strip is used once.
Each test needs a small sample of about 0.6 microliter and returns a result in about 5 seconds with no coding. If the first sample is too small, Second-Chance sampling lets you add more blood to the same strip within 60 seconds.
Wash and dry your hands before and after handling strips and follow the insert for storage and expiration. These strips are for CONTOUR NEXT meters, not older CONTOUR meters with different strips. The meter and lancing device are sold separately.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Which meters do these strips work with?
Ascensia states they are designed for use with any CONTOUR NEXT meter. They are not for older CONTOUR meters that use different strips, so check your meter's name first.
What is Second-Chance sampling?
If the first blood sample is too small, the meter beeps twice and shows a flashing test strip icon. Ascensia says you then have within 60 seconds to apply more blood to the same strip.
How much blood and how long does a test take?
Retailer and distributor listings give a 0.6 microliter sample and a result in about 5 seconds. Ascensia describes it as a tiny sample and a result in just a few seconds.
Do I need to code the meter?
No. Contour Next strips are listed as no coding.
How should I handle the strips?
Wash and dry your hands before and after handling strips, as Ascensia advises. Follow the storage and expiration instructions in the strip insert, and do not use expired strips.
Are these strips for diagnosing diabetes?
No. They are for monitoring blood glucose at home with a compatible meter. Talk to your healthcare professional about your readings.
