Mountain Series hiker first aid kit, Adventure Medical Kits compact trail medical kit
The Adventure Medical Kits Mountain Series Hiker kit is a compact first aid kit for weekend hikes. It is rated for 1 to 2 people for up to 2 days and weighs under 8 oz, so it fits in a daypack or overnight pack.
Supplies are organized by injury type, with a trauma pad, butterfly closures, gauze, medical tape, an elastic bandage for sprains, EMT shears, forceps and a wilderness first aid manual. An external kit map and reflective design help you find items and the bag in low light.
The kit also includes over-the-counter tablets (aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and diphenhydramine) and triple antibiotic ointment, so read labels and check allergies before use. The bag is water-resistant. It is for common trail injuries and does not replace emergency care.
