Description
3M Littmann Classic III stethoscope, champagne finish, dual-sided tunable diaphragm
The 3M Littmann Classic III is a dual-sided acoustic stethoscope with a stainless steel chestpiece in a champagne finish. Both the adult side and the smaller pediatric side have a tunable diaphragm that responds to the pressure you apply.
Light pressure favors low frequency sounds and firmer pressure favors higher ones, so you can listen without repositioning the chestpiece. It has single-lumen 27 inch tubing that contains no natural rubber latex or phthalate plasticizers, non-chill diaphragm and bell sleeve, and snap-on soft-sealing ear tips.
Large and small ear tips, a non-chill bell sleeve and instructions are included. Pick Black or Burgundy tubing on the listing. Littmann states the Classic III is made in the USA with globally sourced materials.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What does the tunable diaphragm do?
Light pressure on the chestpiece picks up low frequency sounds. Firmer pressure brings out higher frequency sounds, with no need to reposition the chestpiece.
Which side is for pediatric patients?
The smaller side of the dual-sided chestpiece suits small or thin patients. The larger side is for adults.
Can it be used as an open bell?
Yes. Swap the diaphragm for the included non-chill bell sleeve to convert a side to an open bell.
Is the tubing latex-free?
Yes. Littmann states the tubing is not made with natural rubber latex and has no phthalate plasticizers.
How do I clean it?
Littmann says the tubing can be cleaned with 70% isopropyl alcohol. See the instructions for full cleaning guidance.
Where is it made?
Littmann states it is made in the USA with globally sourced materials.
