Description
Description
Sekisui OSOM Mono Test, 25-test rapid infectious mononucleosis test kit
The OSOM Mono Test from Sekisui Diagnostics is a rapid test for the qualitative detection of infectious mononucleosis heterophile antibodies in serum, plasma or whole blood. Each kit supplies 25 tests plus two extra test sticks for external quality control.
The workflow is short: use the provided transfer pipette to add one drop of sample to a test tube, add one drop of diluent and mix, insert the test stick and read the result at 5 minutes. Fingertip blood can be collected with the pipette, and the kit stores at room temperature.
This is a professional in vitro diagnostic test, not for home use. Sekisui lists it as CLIA waived for whole blood, while serum and plasma testing fall under a different billing code. Store between 15 and 30 C and use the kit before its expiration date.
