Description
Paramed automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor
The Paramed automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor measures systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and pulse rate at home. It inflates the cuff on its own and shows the result on a large LCD, and it can also announce the reading by voice.
A universal cuff fits upper arms from 8.7 to 16.5 inches around. Three heart symbols appear if a possible irregular heartbeat is detected, and the monitor shows the average of your last three readings and the WHO range for each result.
It stores 120 readings for two users and runs on 4 AAA batteries, which are included along with a carry bag. It is a home monitoring device and cannot diagnose a condition, so consult your doctor about your readings.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Which batteries does it use?
Four AAA batteries, and they are included. An optional 5V micro USB adapter can also power it but is not included.
What arm size does the cuff fit?
Paramed lists 8.7 to 16.5 inches (22 to 42 cm) measured around the upper arm. Measure your mid-upper arm before ordering.
How many readings and users?
It stores 120 readings for two users, labeled A and B.
What do the three heart symbols mean?
They indicate a possible arrhythmia. If the symbol appears several times in one week, consult a doctor.
Does it talk?
Yes. It can announce results by voice, and the volume can be lowered or turned off.
How do I take a good reading?
Rest for at least 30 minutes without strenuous activity or caffeine. Sit upright with your arm supported at heart level, put the cuff on your left arm about an inch above the elbow, and stay still and silent while it measures. Wait a few minutes before repeating.
Can it diagnose high blood pressure?
No. It is a home monitoring device. Consult your doctor about your readings and treatment.
