Microlife automatic upper arm blood pressure monitor with wide-range cuff
The Microlife Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor (BPM1) is a fully automatic upper arm monitor for adults. It measures systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate by the oscillometric method, and shows a symbol when it detects an irregular heartbeat.
It automatically stores the last 30 measurements and can show an average of the stored readings. The wide-range cuff fits arm circumferences of 22-42 cm (8.7 to 16.5 in), and Gentle+ technology is used to manage inflation.
It runs on 4 AA batteries, which are included with a storage case. An AC adapter is optional and not included. It is for monitoring, not diagnosis, and is not intended for pregnancy, preeclampsia, or children under 12.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What arm size does the cuff fit?
The wide-range cuff is for an arm circumference of 22-42 cm (8.7 to 16.5 in). Measure the middle of your relaxed upper arm with a tape.
How many readings does it store?
It automatically stores the last 30 measurements. Press the M button with the unit off to see the average of stored readings, then scroll through the individual values.
What does the irregular heartbeat symbol mean?
The monitor shows a symbol when it detects an irregular heartbeat during a measurement. Microlife says to consult your physician if it appears frequently.
What power does it use?
4 AA batteries. An optional AC adapter (6 V DC) can be used but is not included.
Who should not use it?
Microlife states it is not intended for use with pregnancy, preeclampsia, children under 12, or neonatal patients. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmias such as premature beats or atrial fibrillation, arterial sclerosis, poor perfusion, diabetes, or renal disease.
Can it diagnose high blood pressure?
No. Microlife says self-measuring means monitoring, not diagnosis or treatment. Discuss unusual values with your doctor and do not change any prescribed medication on your own.
Can I use it to check a pacemaker?
No. Microlife says not to use the displayed pulse to check the frequency of a heart pacemaker.
Where should the cuff not go?
Do not place the cuff over a wound, near intravascular access or an arteriovenous shunt, or on the side of a mastectomy.
