Description
Abbott FreeStyle Lite blood glucose meter, no coding
The Abbott FreeStyle Lite is a blood glucose meter for people with diabetes who test at home. It needs no code entry and uses a very small 0.3 microliter blood sample, which lets you test at several body sites.
Test on your fingers, forearm, upper arm, hand, thigh or calf. A display backlight and a test light for the strip port help in dim rooms, and the meter stores the last 400 results with time and date along with 7, 14 and 30 day averages.
The meter works only with FreeStyle Lite test strips and FreeStyle control solution, which are sold separately. It runs on one 3 volt lithium battery. It is for self-testing outside the body and is not for diagnosing or screening for diabetes or for use on newborns.

Abbott lists fingers, forearm, upper arm, hand, thigh and calf. Abbott recommends fingertip testing if you are checking for low blood glucose or have hypoglycemia unawareness.
How many results does it store?

What battery does it use?
One 3 volt lithium battery, good for about 500 tests according to the owner's booklet.

The meter has a data port for a compatible data cable and data management software. A cable is not part of the meter listing.

No. It is for self-testing outside the body only and is not for diagnosing or screening for diabetes, testing newborns, or testing arterial blood.
