Description
InteliSwab COVID-19 rapid antigen test, 2 pack, at-home nasal swab
The InteliSwab COVID-19 Rapid Test from OraSure is an at-home nasal swab antigen test. Each device combines the swab and test strip in one piece, and this box contains two tests, so you can test more than once.
Swab both nostrils, stir the pad in the supplied tube, leave the device standing in the test stand and read the result window between 30 and 40 minutes. Adults can self-test, and an adult swabs children aged 2 to 17.
The test is authorized under an Emergency Use Authorization, not cleared or approved, and detects SARS-CoV-2 proteins only. Do not use it on children under 2. A negative result is presumptive, so repeat testing may be needed. Keep components away from children and pets.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
How do I take the test?
Wash your hands, open the tube and slide it into the stand, blow your nose, then swab both nostrils with the flat pad. Adults circle each nostril 15 times. Stir the pad in the tube 10 times and leave the device in the tube with the result window facing you.
When do I read the result?
Start a 30 minute timer and read in a well-lit area between 30 and 40 minutes. Reading before 30 minutes or after 40 minutes can give a false or invalid result.
How do I read the result?
A line next to T is positive, even if faint. A line next to C with no line next to T is negative. No C line means the result is invalid and the test should be repeated with a new device.
Who can use it?
Adults can self-collect. Children aged 2 to 17 should be swabbed by an adult. Do not use on anyone under 2. Wear a face covering when collecting a sample from a child or another person.
Should I test again after a negative result?
OraSure advises repeat testing. With symptoms, test again after 48 hours. Without symptoms, test again after 48 hours and a third time 48 hours after that. Follow up with a healthcare provider if you still have symptoms.
Is this test FDA approved?
The labeling states: this product has not been FDA cleared or approved; but has been authorized by FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the detection of proteins from SARS-CoV-2, not for any other viruses or pathogens.
What safety warnings apply?
Swabbing both nostrils is critical. Do not use damaged or expired kits and do not reuse components. The solution contains Triton X-100 and ProClin 950; keep it away from children and pets and flush with water if it touches skin or eyes.
