Description
Description
A personal EKG that can record six leads
The KardiaMobile 6L is a 3-electrode personal EKG device that sends your recording to a compatible smartphone or tablet by Bluetooth. It can take a single-lead recording with your fingers or a six-lead recording using your left leg.
After each 30-second recording, the Kardia app shows Instant Analysis: normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia or unclassified. It is not for diagnosis, not for use with pacemakers or ICDs, and not for pediatric use.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the KardiaMobile 6L intended for?
AliveCor's Indications for Use: the system is intended to record, store and transfer one- and two-channel electrocardiogram (EKG) rhythms, and it displays EKG rhythms and output of analysis from AliveCor's KardiaAI platform, including detecting the presence of normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia, and others. It is intended for use by healthcare professionals, patients with known or suspected heart conditions and health conscious individuals.
Can I use it to diagnose a heart condition?
No. AliveCor's warnings say not to use it to diagnose or self-diagnose heart-related conditions. Interpretations are potential findings, not a complete diagnosis, and should be reviewed by a medical professional. Consult your physician before making any medical decision.
Does it detect a heart attack?
No. AliveCor states KardiaMobile 6L does not detect heart attack. Contact your physician if you have concerning symptoms.
Can I use it with a pacemaker or ICD?
No. AliveCor's warnings say not to use it with a cardiac pacemaker, ICDs or other implanted electronic devices.
Is it for children?
No. The device has not been tested for and is not intended for pediatric use.
How do I take a six-lead recording?
Open the app and choose Six-Lead EKG. Hold the device with your thumbs on the top two electrodes and rest the bottom electrode on the bare skin of your left leg (knee or inside of the ankle). Hold still for the 30-second countdown. Do not record while driving or during physical activity.
What do I need to use it, and what about the battery?
A compatible smartphone or tablet and the Kardia app (compatibility list at alivecor.com/compatibility). It uses a replaceable CR2016 coin cell under the bottom electrode, and AliveCor recommends a watch or hearing-aid repair shop replace it. Do not use it while your phone is charging.
