Description

Bluetooth wrist blood pressure monitor

The Omron BP6350 is a wrist blood pressure monitor that sends readings by Bluetooth to the compatible OMRON app. It also stores up to 90 readings on the monitor itself, so it works without a phone.

A built-in heart zone indicator lights blue when your wrist is at heart level, and a cuff wrap guide symbol appears if the cuff is too loose. It fits wrist circumference 5.3 to 8.5 in (13.5 to 21.5 cm) and runs on 2 AAA batteries.

Frequently asked questions

What is in the box?

Omron's manual lists the monitor, 2 AAA alkaline batteries, a storage case, the instruction manual and the quick start guide. The wrist cuff is part of the monitor.

What wrist size does it fit?

Wrist circumference of 5.3 to 8.5 in (13.5 to 21.5 cm). Omron says to use it only on people whose wrist is within that range.

How do I connect it to my phone?

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, install the compatible OMRON app (Omron points to OmronHealthcare.com/app), and follow the steps in the app. The OK symbol flashes on the monitor when it connects. Readings already in the monitor transfer to the app after pairing.

Can I use it without the app?

Yes. The manual describes using the monitor without a smart device. It stores up to 90 readings, and the oldest are deleted when memory is full, so transfer readings to the app if you want to keep them.

What is the heart zone indicator?

A built-in guide that lights blue when the monitor is at the right height relative to your heart. If it is higher or lower, a locator bar shows which way to move your wrist. You can turn it off in settings.

What do the High and irregular heartbeat symbols mean?

The High symbol appears when systolic is 130 mmHg or above or diastolic is 80 mmHg or above. The irregular heartbeat symbol appears when an irregular rhythm is detected 2 or more times during a measurement. If it keeps appearing, Omron recommends consulting your physician.

Who should not use it?

It is for adults at home, with wrist circumference 5.3 to 8.5 in. Omron says not to use it on infants, toddlers, children or people who cannot express themselves, on an injured wrist or a wrist under medical treatment, or while on an IV drip or blood transfusion. It is contraindicated for ambulatory use and use on aircraft, and Omron says not to use it in high-use settings such as medical clinics or physician offices. Consult your physician first if you have common arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, arterial sclerosis, poor perfusion, diabetes, pregnancy, pre-eclampsia or renal disease. It has not been validated for use on pregnant patients. It emits 2.4 GHz radio signals, so turn off Bluetooth and remove the batteries where RF is restricted, such as hospitals. Never adjust medication based on readings.
