Frequently asked questions
Who is it designed for?

Welch Allyn says it is intended for adults and children aged 10 to 17 to measure weight at home.

Who should not use it?

Welch Allyn says it is contraindicated for anyone connected to a wearable or implantable electronic device, such as a pacemaker or defibrillator. Do not use it on a slippery floor like tile, or right after bathing or with wet hands.

How do I pair it?

With the scale and your device powered on, press and hold the Unit/Power button on the bottom of the scale for 3 seconds, then follow the Welch Allyn Home app or your provider's instructions. Bluetooth 4.0 support is required.

How do I get an accurate reading?

Place the scale on a flat, hard surface for at least 10 seconds before use, and stand on it barefoot. Placing it directly on carpet may affect accuracy, so use the extension feet if you must use it on carpet.

What batteries does it use?

Four AAA alkaline batteries, which are included. Do not use rechargeable batteries, and always replace all four at once.

Does it turn off by itself?

Yes. It powers off about 15 seconds after the weight is locked, or about 15 seconds after showing 0.0.
