The Braun ThermoScan 7+ Connect is an ear thermometer with Age Precision, which interprets the color-coded display for the age group you select. It pairs by Bluetooth with the Braun Family Care app to keep readings for the household.

The probe tip is warmed to near body temperature, and night mode mutes the beeps and adds a light. Braun lists a display range of 34 to 42.2 C and lab accuracy of plus or minus 0.2 C from 35 to 42 C.

A smartphone with the free Braun Family Care app is needed for syncing. Replacement lens filters (LF 40) are sold separately.

Yes. Braun says it must only be used with genuine Braun ThermoScan lens filters (LF 40), and a filter must be attached for it to work. 21 are included, and replacements are sold separately.

What is Age Precision?

You choose the patient's age group (0-3 months, 3-36 months or 36+ months) and the color-coded display (green, yellow or red) is interpreted for that group.

How do I connect it to the app?

Turn the thermometer off, then hold the Power button until the screen turns blue and the Bluetooth icon flashes. Pair it from the device section of the Braun Family Care app.

What does the app do?

The Braun Family Care app keeps temperature readings for each member of your household and offers features such as fever tracking and reminders.

What is the temperature range?

Braun lists a display range of 34 to 42.2 C (93.2 to 108 F) with a laboratory accuracy of plus or minus 0.2 C (0.4 F) between 35 and 42 C, and plus or minus 0.3 C (0.5 F) outside that range.

What does night mode do?

In night mode the beeps are muted and a light turns on for use in the dark.

When should I call a doctor?

Braun says to consult a doctor about elevated readings, and to consult a doctor immediately for an infant whose temperature is high. This thermometer does not replace medical advice. It uses 2 AA batteries, which are included.
