Frequently asked questions

Is the O2Ring a medical device?

Wellue states it is for general wellness use only and is not intended for medical use. It is not a diagnostic tool, so talk to your doctor about any readings that worry you.

How long does the battery last?

Wellue lists about 16 hours of typical use on a full charge. Charging takes 2 to 3 hours.

How much can it record without my phone?

The ring stores 4 sessions of up to 10 hours each. You can then review them in the app or in the PC and Mac software.

What does the vibration do?

You set a low-oxygen threshold and pulse limits. When a reading crosses them the ring vibrates, with 5 adjustable levels. The app can also sound an alert.

What size finger does it fit?

Wellue lists a finger circumference of 55 to 80 mm (2.17 to 3.15 inches) in its spec table, though its FAQ says 55 to 88 mm. This is the adult ring. A smaller ring is sold separately as the O2Ring Kids.

What phones and computers does it work with?

Bluetooth 4.0 BLE. iOS 9.0 or later, Android 5.0 or later, Windows 7 to 11 and macOS 10.15.3 or later.

Does a pacemaker affect it?

Wellue's FAQ says it can be used with a pacemaker but pacemaker signals may interfere slightly with heart rate waveform readings. Ask your doctor how to interpret readings.
