Nampons adult nosebleed stoppers, nasal pads for mild to moderate nosebleeds
Nampons are sterile nasal pads made to stop mild to moderate anterior nosebleeds. A flat pad about 1.75 in long is inserted into the affected nostril, where it expands on contact with blood to about 0.75 in thick and applies gentle pressure.
The manufacturer directs you to stay calm and sit upright, insert the pad gently, and apply gentle pressure until the bleeding stops. Choose the 6-Pack or the 12-Pack (two boxes) for your first aid kit, medicine cabinet, car or desk.
Ingredients are sodium salt of oxidized cellulose, PVA sponge, polyethylene glycol and a surfactant. They stay sterile for three years with the expiry printed on the box. The manufacturer advises seeking care for a severe nosebleed or one lasting more than 15 minutes.
