Description
NARCAN naloxone HCl 4 mg nasal spray 2-pack for opioid overdose emergencies
NARCAN Nasal Spray contains naloxone hydrochloride 4 mg in a ready-to-use, needle-free nasal spray device. The Drug Facts label lists its purpose as emergency treatment of opioid overdose. This pack contains two single-dose devices, each in its own blister pack inside the carton.
To use it, lay the person on their back, support the neck so the head tilts back, insert the nozzle into one nostril and press the plunger firmly. Do not prime the device. If breathing problems or sleepiness return, a second dose can be given after 2 to 3 minutes with the second device in the other nostril.
NARCAN is not a substitute for emergency care, so call 911 and get medical help right away after giving the first dose. Each device is single use. Keep devices in the carton until needed, protect them from light, store below 77 F, and do not use a device that looks damaged.

What is NARCAN Nasal Spray for?
The Drug Facts label lists its purpose as emergency treatment of opioid overdose. It contains naloxone hydrochloride 4 mg per device.

What if the person does not wake up or symptoms return?
Call 911 and get medical help right away after the first dose. If breathing problems or sleepiness return, a second dose can be given after 2 to 3 minutes using the second device in the other nostril, and keep watching the person.
Can I reuse a device?
No. Each device holds one dose and cannot be reused.
Will the person feel okay when they wake up?
The label notes some people may feel shaky, sweaty, nauseous or angry when they wake up. This is expected.
How should I store it?
