The Proov male fertility test is an at-home sperm test that measures motile sperm concentration, the number of moving sperm per mL of semen. It combines sperm count and motility into one result.
The kit includes the YO WiFi device, 2 collection cups, 2 YO slides, 2 pipets, 2 liquefaction vials and instructions, so you can test twice. The free YO app shows a YO score and a video of your sample that you can share with a doctor.
Proov says to wait 2 to 5 days without intercourse or ejaculation before collecting a sample. The test is not for post-vasectomy testing. A low score does not mean pregnancy is impossible, so talk to a doctor about results.

What does it measure?
Motile Sperm Concentration (MSC), the number of moving sperm in 1 mL of semen. The YO app compares your result with lab standards and with men who have fathered children.
How many tests are in the kit?
Two. The kit contains supplies for 2 tests plus the YO WiFi device.
How long should he wait first?
Proov says it is best to abstain from intercourse and ejaculation for 2 to 5 days before collecting a sample.
Is it FDA cleared?
Proov states: this FDA-cleared test measures sperm motility and count. It is not for post-vasectomy testing.
