NeilMed Sinus Rinse refill packets, 100 count premixed saline
NeilMed Sinus Rinse regular refill packets give you 100 premixed single-use saline packets for a nasal and sinus rinse. Each packet holds a dry mixture of USP grade sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate, described as pH balanced, isotonic, and free of preservatives and iodine.
Empty one packet into your sinus rinse bottle, add the water volume given in the instructions, and rinse as directed. NeilMed says to use distilled, micro-filtered, commercially bottled, or previously boiled and cooled water at lukewarm temperature.
These are refill packets only, so a rinse bottle is not included. Do not use plain water in place of the mixture. Do not rinse if your nose is completely blocked or you have an ear infection, and ask your physician after sinus surgery.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is in the packets?
A premixed dry powder of USP grade sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate, described by NeilMed as pH balanced, isotonic, and free of preservatives and iodine.
What water should I mix it with?
NeilMed says to use distilled, micro-filtered (0.2 micron), commercially bottled, or previously boiled and cooled water at lukewarm or body temperature. Tap water should only be used if boiled for five minutes or more first.
Can I use plain water instead?
No. NeilMed warns that rinsing with plain water alone causes a severe burning sensation. Always use the saline mixture.
Does the box include a bottle?
No. This is a refill of 100 packets. You need a sinus rinse bottle or system of your own.
When should I not rinse?
NeilMed advises not to rinse if your nasal passages are completely blocked or you have an ear infection or blocked ears. After recent ear or sinus surgery, or during pregnancy, consult your physician. Stop and ask your physician if you feel ear pressure or nasal burning.
Where do I find the mixing amount?
Follow the instructions and brochure printed in the box, which give the water volume for your bottle.
